At the Studio

The spaces that we live in should be a reflection of who we are. It should also make us feel at ease, comfortable and give us a sense of peace. To work in harmony with our surroundings without disturbing what it is already there. To use artistic abilities and learned skills in conjunction with design ideas. And apply building experience to every job in order to achieve cohesive, comfortable, functional and elegant results.

Guest bathroom Reno

This project was a labor of love. I made sure to pay attention to the most minimal detail to make this guest bathroom, not only beautiful but very functional. It needed to have a shower as well as a soak in tub. This is why it was important to choose the right fixtures and accessories. I chose this beautiful sliding doors that could be open from both sides to make easy access to the shower faucet. It is a barn door style, where most of the hardware is located at the top, which gives it a clean unobstructed look. I custom designed the vanity at a depth that maximizes the space. I built it to have four drawers. Two narrow drawers on either side of the sink and two larger ones at the bottom to store larger items. The wood shelf and fluted wood panel on the accent wall were designed to create a little drama. The dark accent wall helps break the all white room vibe, but in a subtle way so that the room still remains visually larger than it is. Opposite to the shower head and faucet there is a nook where hair products, soaps and such can be placed for easy access. In addition, I designed a cover for the existing baseboard heater to give it a cleaner look without obstructing its function. It is easier to clean as well as removeable if needed.
